NYSSO has set the stage for an exciting 2005 football season
and were already off to a great start. This year our tournament
schedule has increased to approximately 10 Youth Football
Tournaments starting the last weekend in August and going late
into November.
Why NYSSO Football Tournaments?
All our football tournaments carry the same format. Our
sanctioning process ensures fair play for all football teams not
to mention every team earns points when playing in our football
tournaments which is applied to your overall total points at the
end of the year and a chance to earn a paid berth to our
National Championship Tournament.
The competition level at our tournaments is among the best in
the Midwest. This doesn’t mean that we only provide tournaments
for the very best teams in the Midwest; it just simply means we
have tournaments throughout the year that have a nice mix which
allows all teams the ability to compete in every tournament. We
do our best to pair up teams with like caliber. This is
sometimes difficult the first tournament of two as you don’t
really know their level of play. However, one of the processes
we have implemented is a questionnaire during the sanctioning
process so we can get a good feel for your team history and
overall competition level.
All teams including Cheerleaders will receive awards at all
our events. We don’t believe a child should go home empty handed
at our events.
Our entertainment seams to attract a lot of interest of teams
all over the Midwest. We encourage everyone to have a good time
and don’t be shocked if you see people dancing at our football
tournaments. NYSSO provides a sound system at all tournaments
which we do live announcements, bracket updates, business
sponsorships and music.
Hosting Your Own Sanctioned NYSSO Football Tournament
We do allow organizations to host our NYSSO Football
Tournaments as way to generate revenue. We do have some criteria
on how this needs to happen as were very particular about the
way our football tournaments our marketed and ultimately ran.
NYSSO will provide all the tools you need to run a tournament
accept the actual fields, referees and crew to staff the
tournament. However, we will consult you and guide you in these
efforts. We will assist in marketing, setting the brackets on
our site, posting the brackets on our site, collecting all entry
money, rules, shirt design, and trophies.
In short our tournaments are meant for everyone and we hope
